Dr. P. Athiannan: A true hero
Dr.
P. Athiannan is the owner of varied business like bus and lorry transports,
in addition to a petrol station. A disabled person himself, he came up the hard
way and was dismayed at the slowness of governmental schemes to provide disabled
people with employment and equipment.
Deciding to take matters into his hands, he set up the Salem Physically Handicapped Welfare Association, of which he is currently the president. Here's a brief look at some milestones:
